שיר, המעלות:בשוב יהוה, את-שיבת ציון-- היינו, כחלמים.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: The LORD hath done great things with these.
אז ימלא שחוק, פינו-- ולשוננו רנה:אז, יאמרו בגוים-- הגדיל יהוה, לעשות עם-אלה.

The LORD hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced.
הגדיל יהוה, לעשות עמנו-- היינו שמחים.

Turn our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the dry land.
שובה יהוה, את-שבותנו שביתנו-- כאפיקים בנגב.
5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
הזרעים בדמעה-- ברנה יקצרו.
6
Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.
הלוך ילך, ובכה-- נשא משך-הזרע:בא-יבא ברנה-- נשא, אלמתיו.
